silently into the night, creeping on cat feet, shrouded in
"Shhh" she says, a breath upon the quiet air.
Like thieves in the darkness, they seek to steal a moment that
is as precious as gold, as rare and bright as diamonds, or the
stars that wink unseeing in the sky. Fingers dance, picking
words like locks, to reveal the treasure they share.
"Here" he whispers, hand outstretched, finding hers.
She takes it and steps softly into his arms, two shadows
blending into one.
A kiss explodes between them, silent detonation of will and
need. Thieves they might be, but their treasure is worth the
